About us

Background
Andrew and Gina Pottenger are from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Gina’s father recently retired as senior pastor of Springs First Church of the Nazarene, and Andrew’s parents are long-time members of the Nazarene church.

Gina earned a bachelor’s degree in English Literature at Northwest Nazarene University. She has since worked at two city newspapers as a reporter, served as publicity coordinator for the JESUS Film Harvest Partners ministry, and as managing editor of Engage magazine for Nazarene Global Mission since 2009

Andrew earned a bachelor’s degree in Religion from MidAmerica Nazarene University, and a master’s degree in Theological Studies from Nazarene Theological Seminary.

Missionary service
We followed God’s leading to apply with Nazarene Mission Corps in 2009. In early 2010 we were matched with two opportunities in Büsingen, Germany: while continuing her full-time work with Engagemagazine.com, Gina has served part-time with Eurasia Communications by writing and editing the weekly “Snapshot” and the monthly e-mail newsletter, “Where Worlds Meet;” Andrew joined European Nazarene College as librarian and instructor until the residential program closed. Afterward, he developed online courses and taught at several learning centers.

In late 2014 we relocated to Manchester, UK, where Andrew is studying for his PhD in church history and serving Nazarene Theological College as resident assistant. Gina has assumed the role of communications coordinator for the Eurasia Region, while continuing to manage Engage.

Speaking
Gina is available to speak to churches and groups about how God is at work in the Eurasia Region. She enjoys sharing powerful, compelling stories of God’s faithfulness and life transformation. She also attempts to help local churches make the connection between what God is doing in Eurasia with what He is doing in their local communities. And she encourages Nazarenes to see that we are all part of God’s mission, whether we move to another cultural setting or whether we are simply ministering to the needs in our own local communities.

She enjoys sharing video testimonies, visual stories through PowerPoint presentations and through storytelling. She likes to use technology, but can present without it.

She also likes to take opportunities to talk with children and youth, so that we can help to foster moments for God to call new missionaries into the harvest at early ages.
